Please know that I am committed to ongoing training and education focused on anti-racism, social justice, diversity, equity and inclusion. Whether we overtly speak about these issues in our session or not, it is my intention to create a space of safety and respect in our work together. I humbly call myself an ally.
Making the decision to work with a coach takes a lot of bravery and courage. Inviting change into your life is hard and stressful! Congratulations on just considering it!

As your coach, I'm your partner on this journey. I use deep listening, evidence based assessments, and draw on the science of behavior change and positive psychology to help you better understand your desires. The deepest and longest lasting change is slow and steady.
My style is very gentle and kind. Through mindfulness, journaling, and reflection, I help you to quiet the chatter so that you can better see the dream and vision you have for your life, your health, and your relationships.
As your coach, I believe that you know what you need and my job is to help you better understand, define, and become really clear around this knowing. This is not easy work and often requires a lot of patient sifting through limiting beliefs, past habits, and failures.
I feel so incredibly fortunate to be able to do this work with my clients and couples. (I often joke with my husband that I don't ever want to stop working.)

I took my first 8-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course to help manage the intense stress of finishing graduate school and my PhD in 2004 with two small children. I often wonder if I would have been able to complete my dissertation without the support of the 8-week MBSR class, my mindfulness practice, and my husband.

I often wonder if I would have been able to complete my dissertation without the support of the 8-week MBSR class, my mindfulness practice, and my husband. My graduate work and dissertation focused on the Complementary and Alternative Medicine used by cancer patients and, as I completed my PhD, I also discovered a growing interest to do more training around mind-body work.
I completed the Yoga Therapy Training (RYT-200) with Diane Finlayson and Gina Sager at Yama Studio in Baltimore, MD in 2007 and studied Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction with Jon Kabat-Zinn and Saki Santorelli through the UMASS Center for Mindfulness in 2009. In 2010, I offered the first Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program at John Hopkins University, specifically focusing on students and teaching through their Recreation and Facilities Center. It has always been my mission to offer mindfulness in ways that are affordable and inclusive. I have been teaching Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction programs in Higher Education and Community settings since 2010 and have added additional training to continue building my expertise in this area.
I recently moved to Doylestown, PA from Ann Arbor, MI. While in Ann Arbor, I worked with a dedicated group of mindfulness teachers to co-found the Ann Arbor Center for Mindfulness and Mindful City - Ann Arbor. Although I no longer live in this area, I am still deeply connected to the wonderful work that these groups continue to do such as weekly mindfulness programs and free sits in the community that are open to everyone (see Being In Tune) I also created the Mindfulness@Umich free drop-in program for University of Michigan students, faculty, and staff that is now in it's 8th year.
To better serve those that I work with in my mindfulness and stress reduction programs, I have completed an advanced coach training certification through The Coaches Training Institute and have added Levels I and II coaching to work with couples who wish enhance their relationship, deepen their love, and better manage conflict.
Available by phone or video conferencing. I offer a complimentary session to explore if mindfulness and coaching are right for you. Reduced pricing is available for those struggling with a financial hardship. Please inquire.
